Life transitions counseling in Bentonville, AR
Steady ground while life is shifting
Support through moves, breakups, career changes, faith transitions, and new chapters you didn’t plan for. Counseling for adults, in person in downtown Bentonville or online anywhere in Arkansas.
Understanding it
Change, even good change, is a lot
Transitions shake up the things that usually keep us steady: routines, relationships, roles, and our sense of who we are. That’s true of hard changes, and of happy ones, too.
A move, a new job, a breakup or divorce, an empty nest, leaving a faith, coming out, or starting over after a loss can bring stress, grief, and big questions all at the same time.
Counseling gives you a steady place to sort through it all and decide what comes next, on your terms.
You might be here because…
- Something big has changed or ended, and you feel unmoored
- You’re facing a decision and can’t see the path
- A happy change still feels harder than you expected
- You’re grieving the old chapter while starting a new one
- You’re not sure who you are in this new season
- Stress is spilling into your sleep, work, or relationships
How we’ll work together
Finding your footing
Every story is different, so our work is shaped around you. Here’s how my approach fits this work.
-
Your next step, your choice
You know your life best. I’ll help you hear your own voice, so the choices you make feel like yours.
-
Make sense of the change
Transitions can stir up older experiences and patterns. Understanding them helps you respond to what’s happening, not just react.
-
Stay grounded
Mindfulness and body awareness help you stay steady while so much is in motion.
-
Roles and relationships
Change ripples through families and relationships. We’ll look at shifting roles, expectations, and boundaries.
Common questions
Questions people often ask
What counts as a life transition?
Almost any big change: a move, a new job or career change, a breakup or divorce, becoming a parent or an empty nester, retirement, leaving a faith, coming out, or a health change. If it has shaken up your sense of stability, it counts.
Do I need to be in crisis to start counseling?
Not at all. Many people come in while they’re in the middle of a change, or while deciding what’s next, for a steady, private place to think it through.
Can you help with divorce or a breakup?
Yes, one-on-one. I don’t offer couples counseling, but individual support through a divorce, separation, or breakup can help you grieve what’s ending and find your footing.
What about a faith transition?
Changing or leaving your faith is a major transition, often with grief and family tension along the way. My practice includes religious trauma and recovery from high-control environments, and there’s no agenda here about what you should believe.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes. I offer secure video sessions for anyone located in Arkansas, and in-person sessions at the Cozy Cottage in downtown Bentonville. If you live outside Arkansas, ask about coaching by video.
How do I get started?
Start with a free 15-minute consultation by video or phone. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure chance to ask questions and see if we’re a good fit. You can book it here.
